Privacy Policy

Nominations. When you submit a nomination, we collect information about the nominee, your name and contact details, your relationship to the nominee, and your description of the nominee's work.

Submissions. If a nominee takes part in judging, we ask for answers to the category questions, business registration and licensing details, supporting documents, and verification links. This helps us assess eligibility and evaluate the submission against the published judging criteria.

Reviews and votes. When you review a nominee or vote for the Community Trust Award, we collect your email address to send a one-time code, and the review or vote itself. A review may include your name, your relationship to the nominee and supporting proof.

Contact enquiries. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, enquiry type, and your message.

Technical information. To protect our forms from abuse, we use a security check and keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, not the address itself. If you sign in to your nominee page, a cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

We use the information we collect to respond to enquiries, communicate with nominators and nominees, verify eligibility, review supporting documentation, count reviews and votes, and administer the Terang Awards judging process.

We do not use nomination information for unrelated marketing purposes, and we do not sell it.

Processing rests on the consent given when you submit a form, and on our legitimate interest in running a competition you or the nominee chose to enter, under Indonesia's Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP).

Terang Awards may use technology, including artificial intelligence, to help check that submissions are complete and to prepare preliminary assessments against our published judging criteria.

AI-assisted assessments support the judging process but do not determine award results. Final decisions are made by the independent judging panel.

Contact enquiries are accessible to the Terang Awards Secretariat and the people responsible for responding to them.

Nomination information and supporting documentation are accessible to authorised members of the Secretariat and the independent judging panel, as needed for eligibility checks and evaluation. Judges can view documents but cannot download them. Reviews are seen only by the Secretariat and the judges and are never published.

Submitting a nomination does not mean the nominee's information will be published. Only Nominees, Finalists and winners the panel confirms are announced, by name and category.

Our website, database, document storage and email run on Cloudflare, which processes this information on our behalf and may do so outside Indonesia.

Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored in private storage. Staff areas require a verified sign-in, documents are view only, and one-time codes and access links are stored only in scrambled form.

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to administer the awards, maintain appropriate records, and meet applicable legal obligations.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to withdraw your consent, contact us at info@terangawards.com. We will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable Indonesian data protection laws.
