TERANG AWARDS 2026

Questions and answers

What the awards are, who decides them, and what they cost. Ten questions, answered plainly.

What are the Terang Awards?

Bali's first real estate awards, co-founded by Bali News, Fullers Properties and ArkaCara, recognising documented good practice across eight categories.

Does it cost anything to enter or win?

No. There is no fee to nominate, to be judged, or to win.

Who can nominate?

Anyone: a client, a peer, an employee, or the nominee itself. A nomination is an invitation. Only the nominee, through its owner or management, can accept it and submit the documentation pack. Nothing is published until they do, and the number of nominations received does not affect the score.

Who decides the winners?

An independent panel of five judges. The Community Trust Award is decided by public vote.

Can the founders win?

No. Bali News, Fullers Properties and ArkaCara are ineligible in every category. Bali News and Fullers Properties hold no vote; ArkaCara's founder, Adhiguna, sits on the independent panel.

What if a judge's own company is nominated?

That judge recuses from the category and the recusal is published.

What happens after I nominate someone?

The nominee is invited to complete a submission before 7 December 2026. Nominate early: nominees need time to complete their submission. Within 7 to 14 days of submitting, a judge confirms their Nominee status.

Can one nominee enter several categories?

Yes, up to three, where it meets each category's eligibility requirements.

Is AI used in judging?

AI assists the scoring. Judges make every decision.

When and where is the gala?

Thursday 18 February 2027 in Bali. The venue will be announced.

Still deciding
who to put forward?
